BeCapital adopts a “hands with” approach that consists in aligning the interests of all stakeholders and leveraging the skills and networks for the interest of the invested companies. A highly experienced and proactive Board of Directors at General Partner’s level is supported by a core team with complementary technical skills and roles: BeCapital Investment Advisor and BeCitizen.

BeCapital General Partner Sarl
The General Partner is responsible for all investment and divestment decisions. It is also monitoring the management of the SICAR’s portfolio. Jean-Marie Laurent Josi, Christian Varin and Alexandre Schmitz (who are also three directors of BeCapital Investment Advisor) have a combined working experience of more than 50 years with Cobepa where together they successfully completed over 20 transactions (a.o. Belron, Bank Degroof, Carmeuse, International SOS, JF Hillebrand, Princess Yachts, Technomarine). In addition, they have extensive working experience with Philippe Bodson and Hugo Ferreira who have been director of Cobepa since 2004.

BeCapital Investment Advisor SA
BeCapital Investment Advisor (“BeCapital IA”), a fully-owned subsidiary of Cobepa acts exclusively as an advisor to BeCapital General Partner. Its main tasks are:

• Fundraising;
• Identifying, analysing and recommending investment and exit opportunities;
• Structuring and negotiating transactions using disciplined investment and divestment processes;
• “Hands-with” monitoring of investments as active board members;
• Reporting to the SICAR’s investors.

BeCitizen SAS
BeCitizen provides exclusive access to a proprietary dealflow of companies that meet BeCapital’s investment strategy. In addition, it provides strategic and operational evaluation of investment opportunities and supports portfolio management initiatives.
